I've been working with these musicians for many years and this music video set a vision for the future. The "Won't Hold Back" Music Video is wicked!! The Heavy Strides' first single "Won't Hold Back" is a killer rock song that captures what I think are some of the best elements of the genre. They had a vision for what the music video could be and the team put the perfect location, wardrobe, and aesthetic together.
We got the opportunity to film at The Parlour on Lorraine, a stunning venue that was adorned with beautiful vintage furniture, candelabras, and velvet curtains. Kristie McCready and Shay Woodward, co-owners of The Parlour on Lorraine, are passionate about creating unforgettable experiences for their guests. They bring a unique blend of expertise and experience to the hospitality industry, making The Parlour on Lorraine the perfect venue for any occasion. They were spectacular hosts and helped in collecting and prepping all the items we needed to make each scene.
My sister Piper Fulton did all of the scene design and wardrobe for this video shoot. She created the gorgeous medieval dinner spread for the table and set up and decorated all of the individual scenes. The outfits that each member wore also balanced well into the scenes and complemented their initial photography shoot in New Orleans. I couldn't have asked for a more elegant and cohesive vision. I love her creativity and attention to detail.
We had a few days of preplanning and one 12-hour shoot day to capture everything. It was so much fun!! I was so impressed with the hustle and workflow of the team.
I also want to give a special recognition shout-out to Linda Stroud, who not only captured some amazing moments as a photographer but also contributed as a producer for the video, financing additional food, props, and set trailer for off-scene waiting and dressing rooms.
Another shout-out I need to give is to our Production Assistant, DeeDee Gossett Howard who from morning to night helped with the flow of the day and scene changes. Both of these women were absolute lifesavers and we couldn't have done it without you!
The final shout-out that I need to include is to my wonderful husband Kayden King! He has supported me and my craft for years, helped me learn, solve problems, and find the best equipment needed to make amazing videos. Without his guidance, I wouldn't be the creator I am today and I am eternally grateful for him.
